The hair routine I swear by.

Over the years I have tried so many products on my hair. I’d pick up all the cute looking Shampoo and Conditioners on offer in the likes of Boots and Superdrug because they were super cheap and smelt like strawberries and coconut, but I never had super soft hair like when the hairdressers would style it for you.

I always found that certain conditioners would leave residue on my hair, and then when I would style it with the hairdryer and straighteners it would become so dry, I knew something had to change.

Changing up my hair routine

My hairdresser had been saying to me for years that I needed to try salon preferred products, but I admit I always shrugged it off as I never thought they could make that much of a difference, I thought surely it was the magic hands of the hairdresser that made my hair so soft.

This Christmas just gone I received a Wella set as a gift from my Mum. Since then I have been using it as my main Shampoo and Conditioning duo and can see a huge difference in my hair. I add a few other products in to my routine as well and voila, the salon soft hair I have been after for years.

OGX Shampoo

I love my OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo. You can pick up this bad boy in Superdrug for £6.99. It’s the only highstreet shampoo I’m now using on my hair. I use this first when washing my hair, I give my hair a good scrub with this. The argan oil in this shampoo is great for my thick hair, it does exactly what it says on the bottle, it leaves my hair soft & silky.

Wella Shampoo and Conditioner

I then go in with my Wella Shampoo. This lathers up lovely on my hair and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean and soft.

I use a small amount of conditioner each time I wash my hair, I cover the ends of my hair with conditioner and comb it through with my fingers, I then put an even smaller amount of conditioner on to the top of my hair, if I use to much my hair will go completely static when I’m drying it.

Styling Products

Once I’m out the shower I brush my hair using my tangle teezer and then use some amazing products on it whilst it is still wet. The first one I use is my Oil Reflections Smoothening oil. This is another Wella product, it helps with blow drying and keeping my hair frizz free.

I then use a Tresemme Oil Elixir For colour treated hair. It strengthens colour treated hair and again keeps my hair nice and smooth for when I am drying and styling it.

Creating Salon-Soft Hair

Since using this dream team of products I have noticed a massive difference to the overall condition of it. It feels healthier, more manageable and totally soft and smooth when it is dry. I’ve noticed how brilliantly products can work on your hair, not just in blow drying but also for the long lasting condition of your hair.

I have added in links to this blog so you can see where you can buy these products or read more about them if you’re interested. The Wella products can be bought from Look Fantastic or if you’re Wirral based The Colour Bar Salon are official Wella stockists and Wella colour specialists.

Do you guys use any salon recommended products? Could you recommend me anymore fantastic styling products?

I must be having a thing for hair at the moment as I’ve just had a total restyle on mine, I had it chopped shorter and dyed it all dark, and I have another GHD hair styling post coming soon. You can see my previous GHD post here.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this hair products blog, please do let me know.

Love, Jessi
