Letterbox gifts have been the saving grace of presents over the last year. With the shops being closed for so long, we had to turn to online for everything. Thankfully many brilliant independent businesses, like In The Post, started up. This saved us from turning to those online giants all the time.
In The Post are a Merseyside based company that was born out of love for shopping small. It is owned by Amber and Dan, the couple also behind the Instagram page The Ellesmere Home. They moved in to their first home together during the pandemic & loved filling it with items from independent businesses. Through their love of shopping small & spreading the word about their finds, this is how In The Post was born.
In March 2021 their 1st box, inspired by their home, went up for sale; The Ellesmere Box.
(The Ellesmere Box is what I have been gifted and what you can see in this blog post).
Since then they have launched a further 4 boxes. They now partner with 21 different small businesses and I am certain this list will only grow.
The Ellesmere Box
Inside the Ellesmere Box which retails at £30, are 6 items ranging from self care, to stationary. The box has been so thoughtfully put together and would make the perfect gift for any occasion.
The Ellesmere Box is made up of –
- Honey and Oatmeal Mini Wax Melts by Scent Keepers
- Black and White Polka Dot Scrunchie by Made by Isabel Sophie
- Hand Illustrated Weekly Planner by Letters & Lines
- Silver Plated Heart Charm Bracelet by White Sands
- Lotus Biscoff and Milk Chocolate Shortbread Heart by Elite Treat Kitchen
- Bath Salts Elixir Shot by Live with Love
Instantly I was drawn to the Lotus Shortbread biscuit, who wouldn’t be? And I can tell you, it’s delicious. You’ll also be hit with the beautiful smell of the aromatherapy bath salts.

Shopping Small, Big Quality
The quality of each item is amazing. I have found that when browsing other letterbox gifts the value for money compared to what is included has never swayed me to purchase them. But In The Post are without a doubt a stand out in amazing value for money. As well as the variation in the products.
I absolutely love this silver bracelet. I love stacking my silver jewellery and this will go perfectly with my collection.
In The Post do have a “new home” gift box you can send, however I think this one would also make a lovely New Home present. Or a lovely treat for a couple, as a wedding/anniversary gift. Both myself and Ste loved the products in this. I did have to share the shortbread with him, and I let him use the bath salts. Believe it or not, he loves baths more than me.
The New Way Of Gifting
I do believe that letterbox gifts are here to stay, and their popularity will continue to grow. The last year of living life through a pandemic has taught each of us to look out for friends and family who aren’t near by. It’s shown us how we can let them know we’re thinking of them in other ways than just sending a text.
If you have friends or family that have recently moved house, are celebrating a birthday, or just needing a lovely treat, then In The Post have created the boxes for you. The boxes range from £20 – £30 and all include items from UK independent businesses.

Make sure you check out their website, and follow them on Instagram. You can also drop them a message if you’re a small business that’s interested in getting involved in their gift boxes.
So what are you waiting for, send that special someone in your life a treat & make them smile for days.
Come check out my Reel on Instagram for another look at the products.
Love, Jessi
