Almost Famous New Menu Launch

This is not a drill guys, Almost Famous have launched new additions to their menus. We’ve got some incredible new items on the Liverpool menu, and so do the other restaurants in Manchester and Leeds.

The idea behind these new items are to add a touch of their home city to each restaurant. Almost Famous is in the style of an American dinner, FYI if you’ve never been. With it’s food served in baskets, and neon signs on the walls, it’s a really cool place to enjoy a whopping burger.

But with the majority of them being named after Americanisms, it’s great too see these new Northern inspired additions.

The 2 new added burgers to the Liverpool menu are the Chicken N Coke and The Liverpool Burger. Along with these is the addition of a new side, the Boss Chips. Believe me when I say, they are boss!

The Chicken N Coke

double cheeseburger, bbq pulled pork, buttermilk fried chicken, cola bbq, peppered mayo & bacon bacon mayo.

The best bits about the Chicken N Coke burger is the no fuss aspect. This one is perfect for me. I always ask for my burgers without the added extras, like lettuce, tomato, jalapenos etc. Or to save fuss I just order them with, and scrape them off.

But with this one, you don’t have to. It just comes with the meats, cheese, and sauce. So you’re ready to get stuck in straight away. Perfect.

Boss Chips

The new chips on the sides menu are a mixture of normal fries and sweet potato fries, topped with Chippy Curry Sauce. Can I get a hallelujah? They sound heavenly right? Well they are.

The curry sauce is of the sweeter kind. The chips topped with this is delicious, and a total novelty. I would seriously just go back for a light bite of ordering these.

The Liverpool Burger

Neither of us ordered the new Liverpool Burger, which was crazy of us. But even if I just explain it to you, I know it will get your mouths watering. It is stacked high with local favourites.

Almost Famous listened to the locals, and created a burger that has Salt & Pepper chicken n chips on it. Yes, you heard that right, Salt & Pepper chicken n chips on a burger. Along with double cheeseburger, chippy curry sauce, onions, peppers, chillies, iceberg & peppered mayo.  WOW.

The Classics

Almost Famous still have the classics on the menu, like the “Everyone’s Got A Gun In Texas” burger. This one is Ste’s favourite. It is the highest stacked burger I’ve ever seen.

It’s built of a double cheeseburger, bacon, waffle fries, JD maple, BBQ pulled pork, redneck BBQ, frickles and bacon bacon mayo.

Ste recommends you order this with the Bacon Bacon Fries. Winning Fries, topped with bacon bacon mayo & bacon rain. You’ll be thanking him soon, I guarantee.

Wash all these delicious meals down with a scrummy cocktail, or chilled beer and your night is sorted.

There’s so many things to love about Almost Famous. Alongside the meaty burgers, there’s also Veggie options on the menu. If you’re a lover of Photo Booth’s then they have one. Plus each time I go, I always spot something else that I’ve not tried before.

I can’t wait to head back to order the Mac Balls. Crispy gooey mac n cheese balls, with bacon bacon mayo dip. I am drooling.

Have you been to try any of these new items yet? What’s your favourite on the Almost Famous menu?

Bloomin’ ‘eck, I wouldn’t eat for a week if I went there, you certainly can’t say the portions are small! It’s good that they taken the time to tailor dishes in each restaurant to its city. I bet the Manchester branch has burgers with potato hash on them!

Can totally recommend the mac and cheese balls! They’re so good! I need to get my mouth around that chicken & coke burger ASAP! Bacon bacon fries have always been my go-to comfort food but those boss fries could take the lead looking at all that curry sauce!

I’ve always thought I couldn’t go here because I’m not fussed on their veggie burgers, but I’m defo going now for those fries and Mac balls! (Just without the dip!)

And what is bacon rain? Have to say I’m intrigued by that, that’s for sure!

It’s some kind of sauce I think. The baconaise sauce on the fries is amazing! x
