Shopping at Christmas can be 2 things, exciting and stressful. No matter how much I plan I still always manage to feel a little bit stressed. Which is why I like to make as many lists as possible, and look all over the internet for gift ideas.
This year for the blog I’ve put together a big bumper gift guide of ideas for all family and friends. I’ve tried to shop around for products that I have loved over the last year, and ones I think others will enjoy also. I’ve also covered a few brands in here that I love to promote to you all.
I hope there are items in here that either you’d like to receive or buy for loved ones. Feel free to screen shot, & share on the post. And let me know if you pick up any of the bits.
Starting with beauty, here are some products I absolutely love & highly recommend for beauty lovers out there.
Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic To-Go* pads are amazing. These are the perfect gift for someone who is either off on lots of travels, or wants to quicken up their skincare routine. Each pad is soaked in Glow Tonic and is ready for you to sweep across your face. For £20 you get 60 pads.
The Charlotte Tilbury Glowing, Pretty Skin Palette* is a must have for beauty lovers. Not only is it limited edition, but it is perfect for travelling with. There is a bronze, blush and highlight (all in 2 tones) in the one palette. For £49 you’re getting 6 must have shades from the make up goddess herself.
Perfume is something that I think we shouldn’t buy for ourselves, and should be gifted. It’s a luxurious gift to receive. Aside from your high end favourites like Dior & Chanel, I found some great high street perfumes.
Nicole Scherzinger released her fragrance “Chosen“*. I don’t usually go for celebrity perfumes but this one has a lovely mix of amber and fruity notes to it. Very lovely scent & for £12.99 for 100ml in The Perfume Shop you can’t go wrong.
Avon have collaborated with British designer Tabitha Webb, and created T by Tabitha *. This perfume gift set is perfect for the party girls in your life. For £20 it has a make up bag, 100ml perfume & a glittery body spray. They’ll be smelling fantastic & sparkling all party season.
Food and Drink
I absolutely love finding great food and drink pieces around Christmas time. This gin flavouring set is from Home Bargains and priced at only £2.99. What a bargain. Perfect for creating Gin cocktails at home throughout the year.
Speaking of drink flavours, for coffee lovers you can’t go wrong with Costa. Their festive range of syrups are great for jazzing up your coffee at home.
Gifting people chocolate at this time of year is a given and to me Quality Street* just scream Christmas. This year in selected John Lewis stores they have the chance to personalise your tin. You get to select your favourite choices of chocolates to go inside (£12.50) & can have your name printed on the tin (£15). This is a something to enjoy gift & a keepsake all in one.
To round off the foodie ideas, I had to include this lovely wine from Veeno. I picked this up on a Wine Tasting, and my Mum has been back for a bottle & gifted it since. This wine (£19.60) makes a lovely high end choice for those who like a tipple.
For the children in our families I always struggle with what to buy. I’m forever spotting clothes for them throughout the year so I like to get something fun.
I spotted these brilliant games in the Avon catalogue, and they’re also online. For only £4.95, and they’re travel size, these games will keep the kids entertained no matter where they are.
Gifts For Men
Hands up who finds it hard to get unique gifts for men. Aside from aftershave and socks, which always go down a treat, I get stuck. From hunting round on the high street again I found that Home Bargains came up trumps again.
They are selling lounge sets for men in all different designs. For superhero lovers they have Superman and Batman ranges, as well as Star Wars and Christmas themes.
I know my husband loves to get comedian dvd’s, and there are always a lot released this time of year. So far already I have spotted this Kevin Bridges DVD & John Bishop’s also. Both in HMV for 2 for £20.
Gifts I know will be enjoyed by guys are games. Not just computer games, I mean actual physical games. This Basket Head Game from Home Bargains was £1.99 and will provide all the fun on Christmas day.
A home-ware gift will always be loved. Whether it is candles, mugs, or photo frames, you’ll be guaranteed to receive one.
This year I’ve looked around for unique finds for the home-ware lovers I know.
I spotted this lovely succulent plant in John Lewis, Trafford Centre (£5). They had a wide selection of them, and also online too. Plants make lovely gifts, especially if they’re already in a great pot.
Candles are the gifts that keep on giving. Every time I light one of mine I say to myself I am so glad I got that. That’s why I have to recommend Owen Drew to you all.
Owen Drew Luxury candles* are the ones to buy this year (from £30 per candle). They’re an independent business, all handmade in the North West & smell beautiful.
I love hunting round for last minute stocking fillers. They really pad out the main presents so well. Here are ones I’ve spotted and loved.
Home Bargains again are winning with their collection of old fashioned games. These start from 89p & will provide hours of fun.
7th Heaven face masks* start at only £1 from Home Bargains also, and can be found in Asda, Poundland & Superdrug.
I found this stunning Wine Bottle stopper in TK MAX, one of my favourite store for unique gifts. It was only £5 and looks so much more.
Finally I will end with the lovely Owen Drew. Their wax melts are sold in packs of 6 squares & are £10. They provide hours of fragrance, and each wax square can be re-burnt up to 3 times & still smell fantastic.
“For it is in the giving, that we receive.”
I hope you enjoyed this guide. I have tried to keep it all reasonably priced, and easy to shop.
The majority of items are all available on the highstreet, and could work well for all members of the family, and friendship groups.
Like I said earlier, please do let me know if you have already bought any of these. Or if you’ll be heading out to get some.
Have a wonderful time Christmas shopping, you still have plenty of time, so don’t stress.
