Discovering Kiko Milano and Loving It

I had heard quiet whispers about Kiko for a little while. We don’t have anywhere in Liverpool to shop it, so I think that’s why it was still off my radar.

I’d heard 2 major things about it though, one being it’s super cheap, and the other is it’s really good. Talk about tempting. I was desperate to try it out.

When I was recently in London and Birmingham I managed to have a shop in Kiko. I actually squealed with excitement when I walked past the Oxford Street store, and although I didn’t have much time I dashed in and had to grab a few bits.

If you haven’t heard of Kiko Milano either, then you’ll be baffled at my excitement. So before I tell you what products I loved, here’s a little about them.

They are an Italian beauty brand that launched in 1997. Their ethos is Be What You Want To Be. This is reflected in their wide variety of products, in different colours and different shades. They have created a product for everyone. They are a company that don’t test on animals, believe everyone should express themselves how they want and dispel the myth that quality only comes with a big price tag.

Kiko have created products at pocket friendly prices but have great quality to them. That is why I have completely fallen for this brand.

Kiko Foundation

My Kiko foundation is one I reach for all the time. It is one of the best foundations I have ever bought. It is the Smart Hydrating Foundation and is only £5.90. Not only was I completely taken by the price tag even before I had tried it, but once I tried it I was sold all over again.

This foundation is water based and creates a hydrated and moisturised finish. The look of it on the skin is flawless, and a little of this goes a long way.

I love this foundation because it creates a lovely dewy look for me, and the durability is amazing. It doesn’t oxidise or dry out throughout the day.

It comes in 21 shades, so I’m sure there would be a shade to suit all skin types. The next time I am passing a Kiko I will be buying a few tubes of this to keep me stocked up.

Kiko Smart Blush

I’m always on the hunt for nice blushers. I wear quite pink toned ones, but only a light blush pink shade. Gone are the days when I thought fuchsia was a good look on me.

It’s hard to find a good powder blush that holds the colour all day. When I bought the Smart Colour Blush it was the price that enticed me in. For £5.90 how could I leave it behind?

I picked up Rosy Mauve. The colour is very pigmented and buildable. I have had this product for months and use it as my day to day blush, and it hasn’t worn down at all. I really love it.

The Smart Blushers come in 12 different shades, so again you’re likely to find one to suit you.

Kiko Nail Lacquer

In my mini haul from Kiko I also picked up a nail varnish. I have such a big collection of varnishes and still can’t resist buying them. The deep purple of this one caught my eye.

I keep my nails quite short, and I love the look of dark colours on short nails. This polish impressed me as the colour lasted a good few days without chipping. This is the dream, right?

If I’m going to spend the time painting my nails then I want the colour to last. I added a top coat over this and the sheen from that made the colour pop.

Kiko polishes are always worth looking out for, as they do work very well, and often they are on offer. Check on their site now and then and I bet you will pick one up for a great price.

I can’t wait to head to another Kiko store. I know I could order online but I want to play with more products in person. I’m like a kid in a sweet shop.

Let me know if you’ve ever tried this brand before.

Jessi xoxo
