Creating Date Night Beauty Looks with Aintree Shopping Park | AD

This is a paid collaboration with Aintree Shopping Park. Products were purchased with provided vouchers.

Creating and experimenting with beauty looks for different occasions is one of my favourite things to do. Especially for heading out on a date night.

I love to head out with my husband for drinks & a bite to eat {when we’re not heading to the cinema mind}. It always gives me a good excuse to wear more make up than usual.

Aintree Shopping Park

Aintree Shopping Park got in touch to see if I wanted to head to their {amazing, in my opinion} Boots store to shop for products to create a date night look.

If you haven’t been to Aintree Shopping Park before and you’re based on Merseyside then it is definitely worth a trip. Every store there is huge, and they have something for everyone.

I love their Boots store. It’s full of beauty brands, from high end to high street price ranges. You can splurge at Elizabeth Arden, YSL & Benefit, then grab a bargain from NYX, Rimmel, and Bourjois.

There are friendly staff on hand to help you choose your products, and some counters offer makeovers.

Every day to date night beauty

For my normal day time look I tend to stick to very minimal make up. A light foundation, dab of bronze & blush, and just lip-balm all day.

But, if I’m heading out I love a heavier foundation, a full bronze, blush and highlight look. I love to wear a dark dramatic effect mascara, and sometimes a full eye-shadow look.

My date night look is always pulled together though by a lipstick. I love a bold, bright lip for heading out. Without lipstick I think an occasion look looks undressed.

These are the staple pieces I was able to get from Boots to create my look for our date night.

Products to look out for

I create my Date Night look by prepping my skin with the Garnier Moisture Bomb Face Mask. Then after applying my own moisturiser & primer, I go in with the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in shade 53.

To prevent any unwanted shine throughout the night I dab the Rimmel Clear Complexion Translucent powder over my face.

The bronze is my own, but the blush I picked up is also Bourjois, and reminds me of how much I loved these blushers in my teens. They’re brilliantly pigmented and I don’t know what took me so so long to re-purchase one.

My mascara is from Barry M, and the packaging is as brilliant as the product. This is my first time trying Barry M Beauty, and I love it. This is the Feature Length Black Mascara, designed to separate, define, and lengthen.

My look is finished off with 2 things. A spritz of setting spray {I can’t go a day without using one}. I grabbed the Dewy Finish Spray from NYX. And then, probably my new favourite lip colour, liquid lipstick from L’Oreal Paris in “I Rule” (shade 105).

I have kept the Garnier De-Tiring mask is my drawer in case I have a few too many gins one date night & I need a skin pick me up the next day. Nothing better than having a pamper on a slow Sunday.

The finished look

I had a £50 budget to create this look, and I think I nailed it. Is that blowing my own trumpet a little too much?

These products are now staples in my beauty collection, and would certainly repurchase them. I am most impressed with the Bourjois foundation, L’Oreal lipstick & the Barry M mascara.

If you’re looking for new make up purchases but don’t know what to get, then definitely head for a mooch in Aintree’s Boots store. You’ll have so many options to try out, swatch, and consider.

You can spend as much time as you need in there as well, because parking on the Shopping Park is free and there are hundreds of spaces. Bonus.

I’d love to know what you think of this look, and if you have tried any of these products before.

What are your favourite products for creating a Date Night look?

Love, Jessi

xoxo

Thanks Sarah! The Rimmel powder is a classic isn’t it. I find myself picking one up on each beauty shop.
